Live Cricket Score: DC v CSK, Match 67, IPL 2023

Image
CSK win and qualify! Phew, after 67 league games across 51 days of non-stop action, IPL 2023 has its second team in the playoffs. And it's the usual suspects Chennai Super Kings, who with a 77-run win over Delhi Capital roared into yet another playoff, their 12th top-four finish in the 14 seasons they have appeared in so far. CSK put up a near insurmountable total of 223, which is a tough target against most oppositions on most pitches but proved especially plain-sailing against DC, a team that's been eliminated for about a week now and still doesn't seem to have a grip on its home conditions. Warner's lone fight aside, DC were never in the run-chase and crawled to 146/9 in their 20 overs. That the last over of the run-chase was a double-wicket maiden tells a story. A good start with the ball too Tushar Deshpande struck in his first over to get rid of Prithvi Shaw, who was caught by a flying Ambati Rayudu in the deep. Deepak Chahar then seals off the powerplay in CSK...

IPL 2023:Inconsistent KKR hope for Eden miracle against LSG

Image
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in what will be their final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. KKR are currently in seventh place in the points table with six wins and seven losses, while LSG is third with seven wins and five losses. So, merely a win will not suffice for the Knights. They will have to beat Lucknow by a significant margin and also hope that other results go in their favour, needing Punjab Kings (vs Rajasthan Royals), Gujarat Titans (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (Mumbai Indians) to win their respective matches. KKR have also been unable to take advantage of the home conditions with an apparent lack of communication between the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the franchise.Their captain Nitish Rana has rued the lack of home advantage, but the Eden Gardens pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee has made it clear that he is not obligated to provide pitches that the home tea...
