BERNAMA pic  PHNOM PENH: Malaysia's Leong Chee Feng stayed in contention for a table tennis gold after reaching the Sea Games men's singles semi-final yesterday. He overpowered Singapore's Clarence Zhe 4-2 (13-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-7, 5-11, 11-8) in the quarter-final at the Morodok Techno National Stadium Table Tennis Hall.Chee Feng will take on Singapore's Izaak Quek in the last four. Izaak had stopped Malaysia's Wong Qi Shen 4-2 (9-11, 15-13, 5-11, 11-6, 11-7) in the last eight. Despite giving their opponents a brief scare, table tennis players Choong Javen-Wong Qi Shen were forced to settle for silver in the men's doubles event today. - NSTP/MOHAMAD SHAHRIL BADRI SAALI  PHNOM PENH: Despite giving their opponents a brief scare, table tennis players Choong Javen-Wong Qi Shen were forced to settle for silver in the men's doubles event today. After a slow start to the final at the Morodok Techo Sports Complex, Javen-Qi Shen did well to level the match by taking the second game before eventually succumbing to a 11-3, 8-11, 11-8, 11-3 defeat at the hands of title favourites Koen Pang-Izaac Quek (Singapore). It was nevertheless a commendable achievement for Javen-Qi Shen as no Malaysian pair had reached the Sea Games men's doubles final in 30 years. Yong Hong Cheh-Khor Kok Seong were the last Malaysians to win the silver. Qi Shen admitted that their more experienced opponents were the better pair on the day.   How to watch the Premier League match between Liverpool and Aston Villa, as well as kick-off time and team news. Liverpool will be looking to continue their winning streak in the Premier League when they host Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday. The hosts have won nine of their last 10 Premier League games against Aston Villa, except for the 7-2 loss at Villa Park in October 2020. They are also on a seven-match winning streak as they strive to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive. Moreover, Unai Emery is winless in his last seven meetings against Liverpool in all competitions (D2 L5), since beating them in the 2016 Europa League final with Sevilla. If Villa want to get something from the match, they must contain Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian is in incredible form and scored in his last nine home games in all competitions, a record for a Liverpool player. Since he joined the Reds ahead of the 2017-18 season, he's scored more home goals in all competitions than any other Premie

Delhi Capitals (DC) will target a consolation win when they face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 67th Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) match on Saturday, May 20. IPL 2023 nears to end with just four group-stage games remaining but three playoff spots are up for grabs. Delhi were the first team to get eliminated from the playoff race. But they produced an impressive 15-run win against Punjab Kings in their last game to move to the ninth position in the points table. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings missed out on a chance to top the points table as they lost against Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in their last match. MS Dhoni-led side remain in the second position in the points table with 15 points in 13 matches, on a level with third-placed Lucknow Super Giants. A win will help them finish in the top two and avoid the Eliminator clash but a defeat might cost them a playoff qualification as Lucknow, Bangalore, and Mumbai remain in contention to clinch the second position. Live Cricket Score: DC v CSK, Match 67, IPL 2023

CSK win and qualify! Phew, after 67 league games across 51 days of non-stop action, IPL 2023 has its second team in the playoffs. And it's the usual suspects Chennai Super Kings, who with a 77-run win over Delhi Capital roared into yet another playoff, their 12th top-four finish in the 14 seasons they have appeared in so far. CSK put up a near insurmountable total of 223, which is a tough target against most oppositions on most pitches but proved especially plain-sailing against DC, a team that's been eliminated for about a week now and still doesn't seem to have a grip on its home conditions. Warner's lone fight aside, DC were never in the run-chase and crawled to 146/9 in their 20 overs. That the last over of the run-chase was a double-wicket maiden tells a story. A good start with the ball too Tushar Deshpande struck in his first over to get rid of Prithvi Shaw, who was caught by a flying Ambati Rayudu in the deep. Deepak Chahar then seals off the powerplay in CSK

IPL 2023: Match 67, DC vs CSK Match Prediction – Who will win today’s IPL match between Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings?

Image
In order to qualify for the playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cannot afford to drop any point when they take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on May 20. Notably, the MS Dhoni-led side currently has 15 points to their name in 13 matches and is second on the points table. However, if they lose to DC, teams like LSG, RCB, and MI can topple the four-time champions, leaving CSK out of the playoffs race. However, if they manage to win, CSK will have a great opportunity to eventually finish in the top two. Thus the match holds a lot of value, to say the least. When it comes to the home side, the David Warner-led side will try to finish on a higher note and give the fans something to cheer for. They defeated PBKS by 15 runs in the last match and jeopardized their hopes to qualify for the playoffs. It remains to be seen if they can spoil CSK’s party this time around.  All eyes will be on Prithvi Shaw and Rilee Rossouw, who were se

IPL 2023:Inconsistent KKR hope for Eden miracle against LSG

Image
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in what will be their final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. KKR are currently in seventh place in the points table with six wins and seven losses, while LSG is third with seven wins and five losses. So, merely a win will not suffice for the Knights. They will have to beat Lucknow by a significant margin and also hope that other results go in their favour, needing Punjab Kings (vs Rajasthan Royals), Gujarat Titans (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (Mumbai Indians) to win their respective matches. KKR have also been unable to take advantage of the home conditions with an apparent lack of communication between the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the franchise.Their captain Nitish Rana has rued the lack of home advantage, but the Eden Gardens pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee has made it clear that he is not obligated to provide pitches that the home team wa
